This next Friday I will be setting sail at the same time my old crew mate Nature will be touching down in Tejas. He will be returning to Boondocks to set the tables a blaze along side residents: Dayta and El Roy Boogie. This is a party you don’t want to miss! I will also be announcing the line up for Top Notch SXSW party this week. Check up on it.

Ok, so this is it folks. The last Top Notch Thursday will be taking place day after tomorrow at The Cavern. Thanks a million to everyone that supported me over the last year. I will be leaving on the 26th for a month to Dj aboard a cruise ship. I will be posting more updates as the date nears. Top Notch will continue when I return, probably in a monthly format. I have some major things in store for 2010. Stay tuned!

The homie 7L just dropped a Valentines mix that is chalked full of classics. I whipped up a quick cover and he pressed ‘em up. I am a little late on posting this but I assure you this is just feel good music, Valentine’s Day or not. Spring is upon us and love will get’cha one way or another.

With all the buzz built up around All Star weekend, Centre, A1 and myself thought it would be fresh to team up on another mixtape project. We just finished everything up on our newest mix TRPL/DBL and will be picking up the physical copies this week. This mix is heavy on the 90’s jams and has a subtle basketball theme. The mix will be available exclusively at the Centre ANNX. Open February 11-14. Be sure to clear your schedule at some point during this weekend and stop through. It’s going down!

The Pop Up shop kicks in to gear this Saturday evening. I will be heading straight from Centre over to West Village to Dj the opening with the Homie Prince William. The space looks really fresh and the artist lineup is on point. Be sure and ad this to you “to do” list for this crazy weekend.

As most of y’all know, All Star weekend is upon us and this week our city will start transformation in to complete chaos. Crazy traffic and crowds aside, this is an extremely good look for Dallas. Everyone who is anyone will be in town and it’s our duty as creative folks to show these out of towners what we are working with. Dj A1 and myself have partnered with our good friends at Centre on another Mixtape/event project. Next Saturday, we will be debuting our new All Star mix “Triple Double” as well as providing tunes for the slam dunk contest. This is a daytime event so there is no excuse to miss this one. See you there!

I just got this new track from Erykah Badu and it is super smooth! I seriously just bumped this in my iTunes like five times in a row. If this is any indication of what the rest of the album is going to sound like, I am all ears. Vinyl LP please.

I just whipped up a lil’ 5 min. flyer for tomorrow’s happenings at Prophet Bar. The homie Jayclipp was nice enough to ask me to guest with him on this all vinyl throw down. I haven’t done this in a while. I must say, the last couple f days have been a blast, digging through all of my records and putting my set together. Vinyl is a whole other animal. Major respect to those that use strictly vinyl to this day. If you are in the area, swing through. Prophet Bar Wednesday’s are always full of talented artists and free food!
